The Bexar Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers in association with the University of Texas at San Antonio is sponsoring the annual Engineering Technology Challenge.  This contest will be open to all high school students within the San Antonio Metropolitan Area.

Our goal in sponsoring the Engineering Technology Challenge is to increase interest and enthusiasm for science and engineering in high school students.  We want all high school students in the San Antonio area to have an opportunity to compete at this event, and want to supply you with all the information and support we can to help your school become involved.  We hope you will join the excitement of the competition.

The Engineering Technology Challenge will be held at the University of Texas at San Antonio 1604 Campus, Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Details on the event schedule will be provided to contest registrants the day of the event.

The two events offered this year are:  Junk Drawer Design and Robotics (Sumo Challenge).  $1,000 UTSA scholarships will be awarded to each of the 1st place winners (max four per team) for both events.

Schools may submit as many teams as they want, but the ETC Committee has the right to limit the number of teams if necessary. Each team must consist of two (2) to four (4) members from grades 6 through 12. However, each student may only register for one (1) event.  To register, please email the Registration Form to This email address is being protected from spambots.
